God wants His family back pt5
I hear stories from different people of mighty moves of God. I then ask the question, how did they get there?
Daniel 3:19-30 ESV
- How did they get there?
- How did they know that God could deliver them?
- Why were they adamant to serve God in the most difficult circumstances?
Daniel 1:6-7 ESV
6 Among these were Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah of the tribe of Judah. 7 And the chief of the eunuchs gave them names: Daniel he called Belteshazzar, Hananiah he called Shadrach, Mishael he called Meshach, and Azariah he called Abednego.
- Nebuchadnezzar had over taken Jerusalem and brought back some of the best of the best to serve him.
- They ate the kings food and drank his wine.
- Daniel opposed it all and requested to eat differently.
Daniel 2:17-23 ESV
17 Then Daniel went to his house and made the matter known to Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, his companions, 18 and told them to seek mercy from the God of heaven concerning this mystery, so that Daniel and his companions might not be destroyed with the rest of the wise men of Babylon. 19 Then the mystery was revealed to Daniel in a vision of the night. Then Daniel blessed the God of heaven. 20 Daniel answered and said:
“Blessed be the name of God forever and ever,
to whom belong wisdom and might.
21 He changes times and seasons;
he removes kings and sets up kings;
he gives wisdom to the wise
and knowledge to those who have understanding;
22 he reveals deep and hidden things;
he knows what is in the darkness,
and the light dwells with him.
23 To you, O God of my fathers,
I give thanks and praise,
for you have given me wisdom and might,
and have now made known to me what we asked of you,
for you have made known to us the king's matter.”
- Their faith was being built through the boldness of Daniel.
- They actively saw God reveal the impossible to make it possible.
- If God is who He says He is and has proven it to you then in the easiest of days or the hardest of days He is worthy of your trust.
- His end game is eternity.
