God Wants His Family Back Pt8
I believe we have established Daniel’s credibility as a prophet and servant of God. So today we must continue with the understanding that Daniel hears from God and obeys Him.
Daniel 2 we hear Daniel interpret Nebuchadnezzar’s dream with them image made from gold, silver, bronze, iron, and clay. Each material stood for a kingdom of rule, Babylonian, Medo-Persian, Greece, and Rome.
Daniel 7 we hear about a vision given to Daniel which starts with four beasts which are the same four kingdoms in Nebuchadnezzar’s dream from Daniel 2.
Daniel 7:1-28 ESV
The focus today isn’t on the beasts that are violent, scary, and intimidating. We are living in a world that can be and is all of those things. So let’s focus on what is planned for them and those who serve God.
- The beasts are violent, scary, and intimidating.
- They will be judged by one GREATER and have no answer for His power and words.
Revelation 19-21 ESV
- The saints (believers) of the Most High (God) will possess all that has been taken over the years.
- The believers will possess it forever and like with all things we possess, we will lay it before God.
Daniel 7:17-18 ESV
There is part of the interpretation that we should spend some time with which is who is the Ancient of Days and the vs 13-14 Son of Man is given dominion over. Where does that leave us.
- God has and will always be (ancient)
Genesis 1 in the beginning God created
Psalm 90:1-2 ESV Prayer of Moses
1 Lord, you have been our dwelling place[a]
in all generations.
2 Before the mountains were brought forth,
or ever you had formed the earth and the world,
from everlasting to everlasting you are God.
Revelation 22:12-13 ESV
12 “Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay each one for what he has done. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.”
- In verse 13-14 the Son of Man is given dominion verse 17-18 the believers are given the kingdom forever.
- Where does that leave us?
- Co-heirs with Christ.
Romans 8:12-17 ESV
12 So then, brothers,[e] we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. 13 For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. 14 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons[f] of God. 15 For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!” 16 The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him.
